Dolma Nepali, who is now 18 years old, got married when she was 14 years old. She now lives in Birendranagar municipality ward no. 4 in a cluster where the landless people live. She had her first baby when she was 15. But when it was time to deliver her baby, she fainted when visiting the toilet outside the house, and remained unconscious for some time. Her family called the traditional healer and he treated her all night long. But in spite of this, she did not regain consciousness until the next day when they rushed her to the hospital - she was suffering from eclampsia. Once in hospital, she was treated for the eclampsia, the baby was delivered and the mother was now safe. Dolma was very lucky this time!

During the delivery time of her second baby, Dolma again vomited and became unconscious. But this time her mother took her to the hospital immediately. She got the necessary treatment on time and both the mother and the baby were saved. Her mother said that when Dolma had had her first baby, they did not know that the fitting was related to the pregnancy, but after she received training on safe motherhood, she realised that this was a danger sign and that women suffering from this need to be taken to the hospital urgently. She was very happy that both her daughter and her grandchild were saved due to a timely decision and good care.
